Volleyball Recap: Scott City Falls Despite Big Games from Skylar Watson and Alee Moore

After flying high against Kelly on Tuesday, Scott City came back down to earth. The Rams fell 3-1 to the Bernie Mules on Wednesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mules apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 22-25, 25-5, 25-20.

Scott City's loss came despite strong showings from Alee Moore and Skylar Watson. Moore had nine digs and one assist, while Watson had nine kills and seven digs. Watson is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Bernie had a senior duo take command as Tatum Anthony had 24 digs and one assist and Kalli Mason had 13 digs and two aces.

Scott City has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Bernie, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5-1.

Scott City has already played their next matchup (against Meadow Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bernie, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Dexter on the 18th.
