Baseball Game Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Fair Grove Eagles

Buffalo is 0-10 against Fair Grove since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither Buffalo nor Fair Grove posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Buffalo is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 32nd straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to Springfield Catholic.

Meanwhile, Fair Grove owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Forsyth 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Panthers since April 14, 2018.

Fair Grove's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Buffalo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Buffalo might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Fair Grove in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
