Soccer Recap: Winter Park Takes Down Creekside in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Winter Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Winter Park Wildcats who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Winter Park Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Creekside Knights's four. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Winter Park is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. As for Creekside, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1-1.

Coming up, Winter Park will face off against Lake Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Mary is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season. Creekside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
