Southwest Prep - South recap October 22, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Andrew's, who took down 352nd ranked Fort Worth Country Day, 26-25. Andrew McLnvale threw for 161 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 18 yards in the win.

The Crusaders scaled the state rankings by moving to 600 from 681 this week, the biggest jump in Southwest Prep - South. St. Andrew's was able to move up by defeating the Falcons 26-25.

JT Granato threw for 306 yards and 1 touchdown. He was 19-41 with 0 interceptions.

Hamilton Paret was the best running back in the league this week. In 8 carries, he ran for 111 yards as Houston Christian lost to St. John's. Teammate Khalil Mack added to the ground attack by rushing for 32 yards.

Kinkaid's Granato and Jacob Matthews led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Granato has thrown for 2,730 yards this season, while Matthews has 53 catches for 756 yards. Paret from the Mustangs leads the league in rushing with 891 yards.

The Mavericks are in third place, while the Falcons are in first place.

Kinkaid extended the longest winning streak in Southwest Prep - South this week by beating Episcopal, 20-10. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
