It was a good run, but Blue Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 8-4 to the Seneca Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 back in March.

Khloe Metcalf was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Seneca, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Blue Ridge will welcome Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Seneca, they will venture away from home to face off against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
