Patrick Kugler chooses University of Michigan

Son of Pittsburgh Steelers coach Sean Kugler is one of the top 100 juniors in the country.

Patrick Kugler, a junior offensive lineman from North Allegheny (Wexford, Pa.), committed to the University of Michigan over the weekend, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

He is the son of Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Sean Kugler. Among the 24 colleges offering him a scholarship were Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State, Florida and Florida State. Kugler is considered to be the top lineman in Pennsylvania and one of the top 100 juniors in the country.

Coach Art Walker said, "He's 6-5, 280, but he's athletic and runs well ... he is fully prepared to play guard, tackle or center."

His older brother, Rob Kugler, is an offensive lineman at Purdue University.
