Football Recap: Arroyo Piles Up the Points Against Marshall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arroyo). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 44-6 win over the Marshall Eagles. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.

Arroyo's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Damian Torres refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Jacob Dominguez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Arroyo's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arroyo will challenge rival Gabrielino at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Marshall is set to face off against their familiar foe South El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
