Football Recap: Vineland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clearview last Friday, Vineland came back down to earth. The Fighting Clan were outmatched by the Atlantic City Vikings and fell 55-10. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Clan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Vikings are ranked 24th).

Vineland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Atlantic City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vineland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Highland Regional at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Atlantic City, they will venture away from home to challenge Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th.
