Softball Recap: Hilmar Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Hilmar finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hughson Huskies by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilmar will square off against Livingston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hughson, they will take on Escalon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Escalon: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Hughson has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
