Softball Recap: Rappahannock Has No Trouble Against Colonial Beach

Rappahannock got themselves on the board against Colonial Beach on Tuesday, but Colonial Beach never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Drifters. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Drifters: they've now won nine in a row.

Not much got past Avery Brann, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Colonial Beach off the board. Brann has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kahler Goodman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Reagan Barrack, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Rappahannock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .545 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Rappahannock's record is now 6-3. As for Colonial Beach, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
