Football Recap: Trinity Catholic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Trinity Catholic's offense. They took a blow against the Eau Gallie Commodores on Friday, falling 51-0. While losing is never fun, the Celtics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Commodores are ranked 53rd).

Even if they lost, Trinity Catholic's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Micheal Neal: he picked up a sack, made five total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Trinity Catholic is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Eau Gallie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Trinity Catholic and Union County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Eau Gallie, they will challenge Merritt Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Commodores will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
