Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 69-58 win over the San Diego Cavers. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Cavers back in January, they had to take a 60-47 defeat.

San Diego lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isaiah Marte, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 21 points. Marte has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more points the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lamar Smith, who went 7 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Christian pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for San Diego, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4.

Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-32 win against Patrick Henry on the 4th. San Diego has also already played their next contest, a 67-64 victory against Olympian on the 1st.
