Football Recap: Brainerd Takes a Loss

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 65-6 loss at the hands of the Meigs County Tigers. The Panthers lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 43-8 score last time.

Brainerd's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Meigs County, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Brainerd wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 23-6 victory against Chattanooga Central on the 10th. As for Meigs County, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Scott at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
