Baseball Game Preview: Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles vs. North Clay/Clay City

Brownstown/St. Elmo is 0-4 against North Clay/Clay City since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Brownstown/St. Elmo will face off against North Clay/Clay City at 4:30 p.m. North Clay/Clay City took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Brownstown/St. Elmo, who comes in off a win.

Brownstown/St. Elmo gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Hillsboro by a score of 8-5.

Meanwhile, North Clay/Clay City didn't have quite enough to beat Richland County on Saturday and fell 7-6. The loss put an end to North Clay/Clay City's undefeated start to the season.

North Clay/Clay City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Craig, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Brownstown/St. Elmo back to even at 1-1. As for North Clay/Clay City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Brownstown/St. Elmo suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to North Clay/Clay City in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can Brownstown/St. Elmo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
