Football Game Preview: Billingsley Bears vs. Ellwood Christian Eagles

The Billingsley Bears will head out to square off against the Ellwood Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Billingsley came up short against Isabella and fell 28-16. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Billingsley took the loss, they still got scores from Trent Cobern and Dequavion Ray.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ellwood Christian). They skirted past Central 20-18.

Billingsley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ellwood Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Billingsley against Ellwood Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 50-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
