Football Recap: Salina Wildcats vs. Wyandotte Bears
Salina lost against Wyandotte back in November of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Salina Wildcats were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Wyandotte Bears.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyandotte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garret Morgan, who rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown. Kason Threet handled things on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Salina's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for Wyandotte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Salina will challenge Kansas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyandotte, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Adair at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
