Softball Recap: Manalapan Takes a Loss

Manalapan fell victim to Middletown South and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Braves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Manalapan's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Middletown South, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Manalapan will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Henry Hudson at 3:45 p.m. The Admirals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.86 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Middletown South, they will head out to face off against Raritan at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
