Basketball Recap: Isaac Crane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Covenant Christian over Greenwood Christian Academy

Covenant Christian lost against Greenwood Christian Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Covenant Christian Warriors took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Cougars are ranked 277th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Crane, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Bryce Harris was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Covenant Christian moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Covenant Christian will take on DeMotte Christian in a tournament on Friday. Covenant Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will head out to take on DeKalb at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
