Basketball Recap: Pine Eagle Comes Up Short

Pine Eagle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. The game between them and the Wallowa Cougars didn't end well, with the Pine Eagle Spartans falling 50-35. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-46 two weeks ago.

Pine Eagle's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Wallowa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Powder Valley the next time they take the court. Wallowa will host Powder Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pine Eagle will head out to face them at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
