It was a good run, but McPherson unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wellington Crusaders by a score of 2-1. The Bullpups were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, McPherson sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-28, 25-18.

Blyss Johnson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs.

McPherson's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Wellington, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, McPherson and Clearwater will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Collegiate on the 23rd.
