Box Elder scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Fremont Silverwolves an easy 70-46 win. The Bees have struggled against the Silverwolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Box Elder still got an impressive performance from Jocelyn Vranes, who posted 17 points and three steals. Vranes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Smith, who had two points.

Even though they lost, Box Elder was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fremont, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Box Elder will take on Bear River in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont and Herriman will compete for holiday cheer at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Fremont is facing Herriman at the right time seeing as Herriman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
