Basketball Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

Western Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of DePaul Cristo Rey.

DePaul Cristo Rey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazmin Tubbs, who posted nine points. Aundrea Dangerfield was another key player, putting up eight points.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Western Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mason at 6:00 p.m. on February 19th. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mt. Healthy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
