Softball Preview: Wheeling Wildcats vs. Schaumburg Saxons
Wheeling is 1-7 against Schaumburg since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Saxons at 4:45 p.m. Wheeling has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Wheeling is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They fell 15-12 to Harvest Christian Academy.

Taylor Dolecki was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Jordan Murtaugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
