Football Recap: Americas Trail Blazers vs. El Dorado Aztecs
If Americas was feeling good fresh off their 34-7 takedown of Parkland last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trail Blazers lost 68-47 to the El Dorado Aztecs on Thursday. The Trail Blazers haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Americas still got an impressive performance from Camron Johnson, who rushed for 260 yards and four scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 81 receiving yards and one TD. Johnson got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards. Maurice Edwards was in the mix as well, providing Americas with two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Ryan Estrada, who rushed for 321 yards and six scores while picking up 14.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 68 yards and one TD for El Dorado. Estrada's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 15th straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season. Brycen Booth was another key player, rushing for 36 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Americas' record is now 5-4. As for El Dorado, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Americas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 63-12 win against Bel Air on the 7th. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-21 victory against Parkland on the 6th.
