Recap: Blackford Bruins vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers
The Blackford Bruins lost against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Blackford took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alexandria-Monroe.
Blackford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ethan Morris, who scored 14 points. Morris set a new season high mark in steals with two. Another player making a difference was Vince Oxley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Blackford will be home for the holidays to greet Elwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Elwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
