Baseball Recap: Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Comes Up Short

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Episcopal, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolves fell just short of the Maroon by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.

Charlie Skala was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.
