Stevenson and Soledad are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. Stevenson is taking a road trip to take on Soledad at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stevenson knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Soledad likes a good challenge.

Stevenson had taken King City down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. Stevenson fell just short of King City by a score of 11-10. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Maria Hall was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Hardin, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Stevenson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Soledad was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pacific Grove.

Soledad's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Stevenson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Stevenson took their victory against Soledad when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stevenson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
