Basketball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Bluestem Lions and fell 55-28. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylee Palser, who posted ten points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Palser a new career-high in points. Kaeleigh Daniels was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bluestem, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1.

Coming up, Erie will face off against Jayhawk Linn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Erie is facing Jayhawk Linn at the right time seeing as Jayhawk Linn is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bluestem, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fredonia.
