Volleyball Recap: Reedy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Reedy waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Newman Smith Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Reedy took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-7, 25-7.

Charlie Henderson paced Reedy's offense, picking up seven kills. Henderson got some help from Paige Hawkinson and her 20 assists. Hawkinson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Reedy's win bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Newman Smith, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-24.

Reedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Turner on the 21st. As for Newman Smith, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Highland Park on the 21st.
