North Marion waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Philip Barbour Colts. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 59-54 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Philip Barbour saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Izzy Knotts dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 boards. Knotts has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ansley Bolyard, who posted two points along with five rebounds and three steals.

North Marion now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Philip Barbour, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, North Marion will venture away from home to challenge Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Philip Barbour, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-54 win against Buckhannon-Upshur on the 19th.
