Basketball Recap: Jakavion Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hazlehurst over Crystal Springs

Hazlehurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crystal Springs Tigers. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 75-74.

Hazlehurst lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jakavion Johnson, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Murray, who put up ten points.

Hazlehurst's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Crystal Springs, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Hazlehurst has already played their next match, a 79-44 loss against Lawrence County on the 10th. As for Crystal Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-47 defeat against Brookhaven on the 10th.
