It was another big night for Makaii Akridge, who went 21 for 31 on his way to 46 points and four steals. His afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrell Little, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists.
Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Overbrook). They were the clear victor by a 94-70 margin over Motivation on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since December 20, 2024.
Overbrook's win came from a few key players Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jalen Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds.
