Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Overbrook). They were the clear victor by a 94-70 margin over Motivation on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since December 20, 2024.
Overbrook's win came from a few key players Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jalen Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. He also grabbed eight steals, which is notable because Overbrook is 4-2 when he posts at least three steals, but 5-10 otherwise. Hamza Swaray was another key player, going 7 of 16 to rack up 19 points and three steals.
Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Overbrook, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's match: Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 34.2% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Overbrook, though, as they've only made 22.2% of their threes this season. Given Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's sizable advantage in that area, Overbrook will need to find a way to close that gap.
