Basketball Recap: Merrill Comes Up Short

Merrill was the 48-38 winner over Adams-Friendship when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Merrill Bluejays came up short against the Adams-Friendship Green Devils on Monday, falling 68-43.

Merrill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Adams-Friendship, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Merrill will square off against Stevens Point at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Stevens Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Merrill likes a good challenge. As for Adams-Friendship, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-20 victory against Wautoma on the 4th.
