Volleyball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

Wells lost against Cape Elizabeth back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Capers by a score of 3-2.

Wells wouldn't go down easily and took Cape Elizabeth into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-10, 17-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Wells still got an impressive performance from Mila Mustacka, who had 19 digs. Autumn Leslie was another key player, getting 17 assists and 16 digs.

Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Cape Elizabeth, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Wells and Gray-New Gloucester will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cape Elizabeth, they will take on Messalonskee at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th.
