Chittenango was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Brothers. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lauren Machan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Alivia Cavotta was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Izzy McClusky was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

With the win, Chittenango broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-5. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
