Basketball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 91-26 loss at the hands of the Greater Johnstown Trojans. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Somerset saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Roby posted 17 points and six rebounds. The match was Roby's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kellan Hagans, who had six points.

Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Greater Johnstown, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Somerset will be playing in front of their home fans against Penn Cambria at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Penn Cambria is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Greater Johnstown, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-59 victory against Forest Hills on the 11th.
