Wasatch is 8-2 against Payson since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wasps are taking a road trip to take on the Lions at 5:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Wasatch is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Bingham, who was ranked 11th at the time (Wasatch was ranked 16th). The Wasps fell just short of the Miners by a score of 51-49 on Tuesday. The Wasps' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Payson played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 62-30 loss at the hands of Pleasant Grove. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-18.

Payson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wasatch, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Wasatch couldn't quite finish off Payson in their previous matchup back in January and fell 51-48. Can the Wasps avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
