Basketball Recap: Amite County Takes a Loss

Amite County and St. Andrew's Episcopal squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Amite County had to settle for second. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Cantrell Carter was another key player, putting up ten points.

Amite County's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Amite County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they have already played their next contest, a 62-46 defeat against Bay Springs on the 15th.
