South Pointe is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Rock Hill is on a nine-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The South Pointe Stallions will square off against the Rock Hill Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Pointe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Rock Hill likes a good challenge.
South Pointe and Northwestern faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. South Pointe really took it to Northwestern for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-15 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 68-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Pointe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Serenity Woods, who went 7 for 13from beyond the arc on her way to 26 points and three steals. That's the most points Woods has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Lucas, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Rock Hill on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew York out of the water with a 64-12 final score. The Bearcats pushed the score to 55-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars had no chance of recovering from.
Rock Hill's win came from a few key players South Pointe will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chloe Hudson, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Stevenson, who put up 20 points.
South Pointe's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Rock Hill, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. South Pointe hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.2 points per game. However, it's not like Rock Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
South Pointe was able to grind out a solid victory over Rock Hill in their previous meeting last Thursday, winning 59-48. Will South Pointe repeat their success, or does Rock Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
