Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Gregori Jaguars
Central Catholic kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 10-6 to the Gregori Jaguars. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Chase Perino led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Kayden McHenry, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Central Catholic will welcome Tokay at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Gregori, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Sierra at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
