Nature Coast Tech lost to Lecanto back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Nature Coast Tech got a great performance from RAYMOND GROETSCH as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave GROETSCH a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aidan O'Nolan, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was BRADY MCMURDO, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Nature Coast Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lecanto only posted a batting average of .148.
Nature Coast Tech pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lecanto, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nature Coast Tech will venture away from home to challenge Land O' Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lecanto, they will head out to face off against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
