Basketball Game Preview: Mother McAuley Mighty Macs vs. Naperville North Huskies

The Mother McAuley Mighty Macs will take on the Naperville North Huskies in a tournament on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Mother McAuley came up short against Libertyville and fell 51-41.

Despite the loss, Mother McAuley got top-tier performance from Quinn Arundel, who went 8 for 19 on her way to 22 points and three steals. The matchup was Arundel's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Harmony Cooper was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Naperville North ended up a good deal behind Geneva on Saturday and lost 69-54. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naperville North now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Mother McAuley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Things could have been worse for Mother McAuley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Naperville North in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Mother McAuley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
