Basketball Recap: Agra Takes a Loss

Agra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 57-46 to the Carney Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 64-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Despite the defeat, Agra saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Evan Cunha went 9-for-19 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tevin Hutchinson, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Agra's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carney, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Agra will host Oilton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carney, they have already played their next matchup, a 51-26 defeat against Wellston on the 11th.
