Baseball Game Preview: Harrisburg Bulldogs vs. Johnston City Indians

The Harrisburg Bulldogs will challenge the Johnston City Indians at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Harrisburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Carmi-White County 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for Harrisburg, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Harrisburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Hankins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Johnston City entered their tilt with Mt. Carmel on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Golden Aces 7-5.

Harrisburg pushed their record up to 22-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Johnston City, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.

Harrisburg couldn't quite get it done against Johnston City in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 6-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
