The Cascade Champions are taking a road trip to face off against the Moore County Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Cascade's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
Cascade barely beat Cornersville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Champions put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 19-2 victory on Friday. The Champions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Jaxson Milliken and Wickey Parker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Milliken tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Parker tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Milliken went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Parker went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Parker a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Childress, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Caleb Crouch was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Cascade always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Moore County was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Richland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Moore County has suffered against Richland since April 23, 2015.
Ethan Walls was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Cascade's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Moore County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.
Moore County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cascade hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Moore County, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Cascade's hitters?
Cascade beat Moore County 11-6 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Champions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
