Baseball Game Preview: Norcom Greyhounds vs. Maury Commodores

Norcom hasn't had much luck against Maury recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Greyhounds will take on the Commodores at 4:00 p.m. Norcom has given up an average of 14.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Norcom fell victim to Granby and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 18-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maury). They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over Manor on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Commodores with their most commanding win of the season.

Lee Garris was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Adrian Maxwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Maury was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Norcom's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Maury, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
