Basketball Recap: Beaver Comes Up Short

Beaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. Their2024 ended with a 71-56 loss against the Pine-Richland Rams. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Rams are ranked 257th).

Beaver's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Pine-Richland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Beaver will square off against Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine-Richland, they are taking a road trip to square off against North Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
