Bruce and South Shore pushed the score to 78-36 the last time they played South Shore, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Red Raiders won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Cardinals 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Bruce and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for South Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Bruce will head out on the road to face off against Clayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Shore, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chequamegon/Butternut/Mercer at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
