Basketball Recap: Durand Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Durand and Christian Life squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Durand had to settle for second. They lost to the Christian Life Eagles on the road by a 71-57 margin. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Rager, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards. Rager is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Isaiah Bradford was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Durand smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Durand's loss dropped their record down to 7-25. As for Christian Life, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.

Durand does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Life, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-25 defeat against Dakota on the 26th.
