Softball Recap: Willamina Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Willamina put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Grant Union Prospectors with a sharp 20-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Willamina's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Grant Union, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Willamina is taking a road trip to challenge Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grant Union, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Baker/Powder Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
